The Audio Box is the solution to perform Pyromusicals at their best with Cobra systems and more; in fact, it allows you to manage audio and pyromusical music in perfect synchrony, all via wireless, by placing the Audio Box module near the audio server, but managing everything from hundreds of meters away via the COBRA 18R2 radio receiver.
The Audio Box module is completely wireless, which allows you to run the show from the best control position using the 18R2 receiver, and to place the Audio Box module directly on the table together with the audio server console!
The system uses a small digital signal to manage the audio and this allows maximum performance and certainty of result even in the presence of other radio signals external to the module.
The Audio Box also works with other systems other than COBRA that accept SMPTE, FSK or other types of time code.
Just connect the Audio Box to these systems (PyroDigital, FireOne, Pyromate), and using the 18R2 receiver, it will be possible to make the COBRA 18M modules and the modules of another external firing system work together, all from the TIME CODE output signal of the 'Audio Box.
It is possible to manage several Audio Boxes using a single 18R2 radio receiver. Each Audio Box can play the same MP3 track or different MP3 tracks, which makes the system absolutely flexible to all needs.
To use the Audio Box , just follow this procedure with the following simple steps:
1. Save an MP3 audio file into a 1GB USB memory stick
2. Connect the Audio Box module to an audio system, using one of the several possible options (headphone output, RCA, ...)
3. Press the AUDIO TEST button to perform an audio test. Use the right and left volume controls to manage the audio output volumes.
4. Start your show using the 18R2. The audio will be perfectly synchronized!
During audio playback it is possible to manage the following audio and security controls directly from the 18R2:
1. Use + and - of your 18R2 to align (in case of no unexpected deviations) the script with the music with a fineness of 1/10 of a second, up to a maximum of 10 seconds in both directions.
2. Pause the show and audio by simply pressing ARM on the 18R2
3. Resume the show and audio, starting exactly where it was paused.
4. Stop the show and music by restarting everything from the beginning
5. If you turn the Audio Box off and on again during execution, the audio immediately resyncs to the script, wherever it has arrived.
